Over the weekend, a group of GLEE pals celebrated fellow cast member, Naya Rivera's birthday in Las Vegas! On Saturday night, Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz celebrated this Cheerio's 23rd birthday at the Jet Nightclub in the Mirage Hotel, Las Vegas. 
If you say it, he will listen. More precisely, Ryan Murphy says, "We listen very closely to what fans say about the show. Fans like certain things, don't like certain things, and I am somebody who reads those blogs. I like knowing."

Hey listen up Gleeks! The big cheeses of GLEE are looking to fill three new roles that will be added to the show's second season!
Auditions will be open to all between the ages of 16-26, and your auditions will be submitted online! Yep, you heard right -- online. This makes it easy-peasy you wanna be Gleeks to audition. Though the details haven't been announced yet, I'd get those gears spinning right now, if you wanna make the perfect Gleek impression! Clap Glee is renewed for season two!your hands and stomp your feet! If this news isn't something to sing and dance about, I don't know what is! Hot off the press, FOX confirmed that GLEE will return for a second season in fall of 2010!
After just ten episodes, GLEE has become a "cultural phenomenon, boasting winning ratings, critical acclaim, a rabid fan base of 'Gleeks,' two certified Gold albums and more than 4 million song downloads." And of course, there are those minor details -- GLEE's also picked up four Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Writers Guild nominations, in addition to a People's Choice Award and inclusion in the American Film Institute's Top 10 TV Programs of the Year. Again, not too shabby for just t-e-n, episodes! Says, Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment for FOX Broadcasting: We loved GLEE ever since it was a pilot script, so it's been an incredible thrill to watch the show take root and see audiences embrace these characters in such a huge way this season. The show is a true and rare gem in television. We couldn't be more proud of what Ryan Murphy and the GLEE team have created so far, and can't wait to see what they come up with for Season Two. GleeAs we mentioned below, GLEE producers are embarking on an enormous search for three new cast members to join McKinley High for season two. (Could this be you??) Though the details are still forthcoming, we know that online auditions will be accepted from experienced actors or total amateurs. This casting search will be chronicled in a multi-part special that will air leading up to the premiere of season two, but the new cast members won't be revealed until the premiere episode! Let's hear it for the early renewal of GLEE!!!!! |

Ever wonder if Rachel Berry's spunk carries through to actress Lea Michele? Well, it's certainly got to since that kind of bubbli-ful energy is hard to find. In a quick red carpet Grammy interview with OK Magazine, Lea shares her secret.
“I’m a vegan,” Lea tells OK!. “It makes me feel really good and bright.” Lea admits, "You need a lot of energy to play spunky Rachel Berry, so I've tried a lot of different things -- and so far, this is working." |

Though we don't believe it's true, it seems inevitable that we just have to mention the latest Cory Monteith slash Taylor Swift rumor that's currently making its rounds on the blog circuit. Recently seen dining together at Jerri's Deli in Los Angeles, Cory and Taylor are clearly friends, and not likely anything more, at least right now.
The fact of the matter is that when Taylor swift is spotted with just about any guy these days, the dating rumors begin to fly. Most recently associated with Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift dating rumors are now circulating about Cory Monteith AND John Mayer. The only thing we know for sure is that Taylor Swift would love to do a spot on GLEE -- after all, who wouldn't?! What do you think? Cory and Taylor, believe it or not? |
